From Francesco Rosi to the Manetti Bros, via Kean Loach, Tavernier and Abel Ferrara, every year is a fascinating moment because it has enabled us to meet some of the main masters of the European and world scene.
The meeting with the author preceded or followed by the viewing of his work is a great occasion during which the Porretta Terme Film Festival presents and converses with great masters of what has been called the seventh art, with critics, insiders and enthusiasts, but above all a situation in which the entire audience has the opportunity to listen to and interact with great creators.
This is why, year after year, we have maintained this section, which on the one hand lets us once more appreciate great works of the past and near past, better understand the exegesis and the artistic path behind a film creator, thus also better understanding his person and paying tribute to him
